Virginia

The Commonwealth of Virginia became a state on June 25, 1788. Prior to statehood, it was the Virginia Colony (an English and later a British colony) between 1607 and 1776.

According to the survey, the earliest Germans from Russia to settle in Virginia were immigrant Volga Germans from the colony of Kukkus. They settled in Norfolk, Virginia in 1892.

Immigrant Germans from Russia along with first, second, third, fourth and fifth generation descendants were reported to have lived in Virginia.
