Colorado

Colorado became a state on August 1, 1876. Prior to statehood, it was the Territory of Colorado (or Colorado Territory) between 1861 and 1876.

According to the survey, the first Germans from Russia were immigrant Black Sea Germans from the Liebental colony of Peterstal. They settled in Beebe Draw, Colorado in 1888.

Immigrant Germans from Russia along with first, second, third, fourth and fifth generation descendants were reported to have lived in Colorado.

List of Places

There were 98 places in Colorado reported on the survey. Included below is the earliest year Germans from Russia reportedly arrived in each place.
