Georgia

Georgia became a state on January 2, 1788. Prior to statehood, it was known as the Province of Georgia (or Georgia Colony) between 1732–1777.

According to the survey, the earliest Germans from Russia arrived in Georgia were second generation descendants from the colonies of Friedenstal and Plotzk in Bessarabia. They settled in Savannah, Georgia in 1968.

There were no immigrant Germans from Russia reported to have settled in Georgia. There were, however, second, third and fourth generation descendants living there at some point.
