Mississippi

Mississippi became a state on December 10, 1817. Prior to statehood, it was the Territory of Mississippi (or Mississippi Territory) between 1798-1817.

According to the survey, the earliest Germans from Russia to arrive in Mississippi were first generation Volga Germans from the colony of Susannental. They arrived in Greenville, Mississippi in 1955.

There were no immigrant Germans from Russia reported to have settled in Mississippi. There were, however, first, second, third, fourth and fifth generation descendants living there at some point.
