Arkansas

Arkansas became a state on June 15, 1836. Prior to statehood, it was known as the Territory of Arkansas (or Arkansas Territory) between 1819–1836.

According to the survey, the earliest Germans from Russia to arrive in Arkansas were first generation descendants of Volga Germans from the colony of Norka. They arrived arrived in Texarkana in 1909.

There were no immigrant Germans from Russia reported to have settled in Alabama. There were, however, first, second, third and fourth generation descendants living there at some point.
