New Mexico

New Mexico became a state on January 6, 1912. Prior to statehood, it was the Territory of New Mexico (or New Mexico Territory) between 1850-1912.

According to the survey, the earliest Germans from Russia to arrive in New Mexico were first generation Black Sea Germans from the Bessarabian colonies of Akkerman and Beresina. They settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1915.

There were no immigrant Germans from Russia reported to have settled in New Mexico. There were, however, first, second, third, fourth and fifth generation descendants living there at some point.
