Rhode Island
The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations (commonly known as Rhode Island) became a state on May 29, 1790. Prior to statehood, it was the Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations (an English and later British colony) between 1636-1776.
The survey only reported once place in Rhode Island where descendants of Germans from Russia lived. Second generation descendants of Volga Germans from the colony of Krasnojar lived in Warwick, Rhode Island in 1974.
