Minnesota
Minnesota became a state on May 11, 1858 . Prior to statehood, it was the Territory of Minnesota (or Minnesota Territory) between 1849-1858.
According to the survey, the earliest Germans from Russia to arrive in Minnesota were immigrant Black Sea Germans from the Molotschna colonies of Paulsheim and Schardau. They arrived in Mountain Lake, Minnesota in 1875.
Immigrant Germans from Russia along with first, second, third, fourth and fifth generation descendants were reported to have lived in Minnesota.
